Researchers winner of ÅForsk Entrepreneurship Scholarship 2017

Organofuel Sweden was awarded 200,000 SEK at the Innovation Day in Linköping on 25 April. Organofuel is a green start-up company in Sundsvall based on research by Prof. Armando Cordova and Dr Samson Afewerki at Mid University.

Through the use of their process, it is possible to produce commercially interesting products with the forest as the source material. Their technology enables a unique way of converting lignin (a residual product from the paper and pulp industry) to high-value products such as green fine chemicals, biomaterials and biofuels.
