Retenua launched the first evaluation kits of its new embedded vision system RefleX. RefleX targets the heavy vehicle industry and detects human workers in the neighborhood of heavy mobile machinery operating at industrial worksites. The evaluation kits are available for vehicle manufacturers as well as end users for evaluation of the novel safety technology.
The RefleX evaluation kit offers vehicle manufacturers and end users the opportunity to evaluate Retenua’s novel industrial human detection system at an early stage. Each evaluation kit includes a RefleX sensor unit, a touch screen display for visualization and sensor control, as well as a warning lamp. Installed on a mobile industrial vehicle, the RefleX system detects human workers that are equipped with standard high-visibility clothing and provides the driver of the vehicle with information about their location. Due to its active sensing principle, RefleX offers robust performance also in poorly illuminated industrial sites such as underground mines.
